What type of bow should I get?

I would like to get a target bow, for target shooting indoor and outdoor, 3ds and all.. But should I get a compound or recurve. I also will only be using hoyt. And don't make fun of this, but I would like later on to maybe get sponsored by hoyt, but, thats not it. I would just like to get a Hoyt target bow, either compound or recurve, but all must be under $650.
