Is there any way to get local tv via internet?

I ditched my satellite tv a little over a year ago. I am really missing my local channels. I live in an area that over-the-air antennas don't work. I get one channel with a very expensive outdoor antenna. I see all this spam for tv over the internet. Is there any way that I can get real local channels over my DSL? I don't mind paying reasonable fees for this as long as it is legit. All help is greatly appreciated.
