I really like this boy but i think he likes my best friend?

I really like this boy at skool but hes really popular and im not so we hav never spoke but cos there was a rumour goin round that i liked him (even though i do i denied it and called him a dick to sumone he knew which i really regret and his frend told him)so he sumtimes luks at me n givs me his attention..but today me n my mate were sittin talkin and he sat in front of us listenin to our conversation and then my frends left ear started burning(left for love)..so do u think its a coincidence that her left ear is burning when hes sat rite in front of us or do u think he mite like her???
