Does connecting i pod again and again with dvd or tv for listenin music effects its battery life?

i have a sony walkman NWZ-E436, which i connect to my dvd player to listen music almost every day but it keeps on charging when i connect it to the dvd player so i wanted to ask is it affecting its battery life??
